Can Baby Fever be Massaged?

Massaging babies has a myriad of benefits for the health of his body. Besides being able to improve the quality of sleep, baby massage can also facilitate the digestive tract, and reduce the frequency of fussy babies.


But, can a baby with a fever be massaged?

When a fever, the body tries hard to fight the infection in order to recover. Therefore, the body should be rested. Massaging a baby during a fever is actually believed to be able to spread the virus throughout the baby's body quickly.

In that condition, massage in the baby's body is expected to provide relief. Like adults, when a baby's fever also feels pain in the body due to a cold or virus infection. They assume if massage can help relieve baby discomfort.

Parents can see the baby's condition before giving a message. Babies can show happy reactions or even less comfortable when massaged. For example, when the baby is uncomfortable he will cry during the massage. If so, you should only massage your feet or hands.
